Let It Go and Love Is An Open Door

Description

An edit I made because I was having a thought about the connection between these two songs.
When you look at Anna and Elsa's character arcs, these songs are essentially about the same thing: the sisters individually attempting to break free from the pain of their pasts.
Anna does by falling in love with Hans; the line "say goodbye to the pain of the past, we don't have to feel it anymore" had always intrigued me about this song.
Elsa, obviously, does by running away and letting loose with her powers.
The thing is, neither way works. It seems to, but it's what is known to storytellers (or at least those of us who've read Blake Snyder's "Save the Cat", which I recommend highly) as a "false victory".
Elsa's victory fails when Anna brings the news of Arendelle's plight and she winds up hurting her sister and seeing her home frozen.
Anna's victory fails when she is betrayed by her "true love", Hans.
In the end, their victories won't lie where they first thought...
They lie not with boyfriends or icy exile.
They lie with each other.

I really, really like this. And what you said up there about the explanation and connection between the songs - great job! :D
